Vintage 1926 Singer Cabinet Sewing Machine in South Shields, Tyne and Wear for sale

Vintage 1926 Singer Cabinet Style Sewing Machine with internal foot pedal. Has it original instruction handbook No:66 Treadle powered Singer sewing machine made at the Clydebank works in 1906. Serial number S70268. Appears to be in good working order, the treadle works, needle goes up and down, no apparent damage. Has original leather drive belt. The drawing room cabinet is a beautiful piece of furniture. It was top of the range in its day. 79 cm high, 83 cm wide, 46 cm deep. All solid wood, very well made. 5 accessory drawers to the left (contents not included), central part opens to the front and rear to reveal the treadle platform. Right side opens to reveal treadle rod and drive wheel. It has an ingenious spring loaded stowing mechanism. Making an otherwise very heavy sewing machine very easy to setup and stow away again. Sewing machine is raised from the cabinet to use, and lowered into the cabinet to store. This is a very heavy item. Will need to be collected from South Shields, Tyne and Wear
